Sotheby’s estimate submission process is free of charge. However, estimates will only be provided for items that our specialists identify as suited for sale within the current market and to the clientele we serve. If our specialists determine that your item is not suited for sale with Sotheby’s, you will not receive an estimate. 

Our estimates are non-binding: you are not obligated to sell your item with us if you do not agree with the estimate. Depending on the complexity of the valuation, our specialists will usually be able to review your submission and provide a preliminary estimate within 15 to 20 business days.
