How do I sell with Sotheby’s?

At Sotheby's, we understand the importance of providing the information you need to make informed decisions and therefore offer a free and non-binding process for submitting your property through our Pricing Platform. There is no obligation to sell with us.
Follow this link: https://www.sothebys.com/en/sell or click the 'SELL' button in the header of our website.
Click on 'Start Selling'
Select the category that most suits your item
Fill in the requested information. Check the ‘I'm not sure’ box for any answers that are asterisked where you are unable to provide the required information.
Submit a minimum of 3 photographs of your item. (Click in the box to open your documents or gallery of photos, or drag and drop into the boxes from your documents folders). Note, if you are taking photos on an iPhone, please be sure to save the images as JPEG before uploading.
Fill in the client information with your contact information. If you would like a third party to be contacted regarding shipping, this information can also be provided.
Review your submitted information, ensuring all areas highlighted in red are completed.
Accept the terms and conditions then click ‘Submit’.
Upon successful submission, you will be provided with a reference code. This will be required for any additional follow-ups related to your item, should you choose to contact us directly.
Your item and reference number, along with any status updates and specialist messages can be viewed at any time on the Seller Portal under My Account.
To know more about our fees please refer to the Sotheby's Fee Structure. Please note: New terms for sellers will be reflected for consignments signed after April 15, 2024, and new buyer's premiums will go into effect globally on May 20, 2024.
