3. Verify your email address 

A verification message gets sent to your inbox to confirm your email address is valid. 

4. Complete additional profile information

Once your email is verified, you can get your account ready to bid, buy, and sell with Sotheby’s. 

5. Upload your ID

You will need to provide valid government-issued photo identification and proof of address. Sotheby’s will verify your ID and profile information and inform you if we require anything else. 

6. Add a payment method and shipping preferences 

You will be able to change this information later from your profile page.

7. Register for a sale 

On the sale page, click "Register to bid" and select the account you want to use to bid and pay. You will see a confirmation and paddle number once you are set up to bid.
